Honestly, the story had plenty of plotholes already. There is no room to suspend disbelief anymore. Adding more BS doesn't improve upon the original novel that isn't good anyways...

You might be right, but I suspect he wants to change certain things to make the story more captivating. I understand that in parallel versions of this story, Yuri enjoys sleeping with other men. The author could very well decide to draw inspiration from that at this point and postpone their reconciliation until much later in the story. What do you think? Is it possible?
